Pricing is based on the number of people in your room, as well as the type of room you’d prefer. The price includes all food, drinks and activities on board the ship, as well as all taxes and gratuities. Childcare for children ages 2 and up is also included, and is a great way to get some “you” time, as well as some “couple” time. Passports are recommended, but not required for this cruise since it is a "closed-loop" cruise.

We decided to have this family retreat on a cruise ship instead of a hotel for many reasons, not the least of which is the cost. We held our last event at a hotel, and it ended up being quite expensive. Here is a breakdown to show how much something like this would cost for a sample family of four, if we held it at a hotel:

• Hotel room for 4 nights: $600 discounted rate, interior room, including taxes/gratuity
• Food for 4 people, 3 meals per day for 4 days: $518 including taxes/gratuity (no snacks included)
• Workshop fees to cover room rental: $1000 ($500 for each adult)
• Childcare expenses (cruise ship includes programs for several age groups - we would just have basic babysitting at a hotel event): $100
• Entertainment expenses (cruise ship includes swimming, waterslides, mini golf, not to mention the destination is Mexico!): $200

With the cruise, the food is all included (unlimited meals, snacks and room service 24 hours per day, taxes & gratuity all included), there is childcare available, lots of activity and entertainment choices, etc. so it's not 100% comparison, but as close of an estimate as we could guess.
