Connection Parenting

I just listened to the discussion that Rebecca had with Pam Leo, author of connection parenting, and thought it was wonderful. If you haven't had a chance to listen, I encourage you to do so. It really got me thinking about my parenting and how I can connect more with my children.

Yes, it is an excellent recording! My favorite quote is "conflict is just two people trying to get their needs met without connection". I'll be thinking of that every time I begin to raise my voice. What need of MINE am I trying to meet? What need is my CHILD trying to meet? Can I just stop and reconnect before freaking out? Maybe. Maybe not. But at least I can try. That's a good thing.

I loved all the Pam Leo interviews and it led me to her site, which I enjoyed as well.
I was sort of bummed that her tele-conference was canceled!
