7:30 – 9 PM Opening circle time in the Dolphin room (introductions, setting our purpose, individual schedules, overview of weekend)

Friday, October 17, 2008 – What does it mean to be a Conscious Parent?

7 AM Early morning stretch/walk on the beach (optional)

8 AM Breakfast- Dolphin Room

9 AM – 12 PM What is Consciously Parenting?  An interactive discussion about the importance of our parenting decisions and a look at research-based parenting- what does it mean?  What does it look like?  Rebecca Thompson, M.S.

12 PM Lunch in Dolphin Room

1 – 2:30 PM What does Consciously Parenting look like?  Small group parenting discussions and role-plays exploring what this kind of parenting really looks like where the rubber meets the road.  Join Rebecca and our amazing class facilitators for this more in-depth look at parenting consciously.

2:30 – 3:30 PM Break (optional continue small group healing)

3:30 – 5 PM What is "normal" behavior?  Age-based discussion groups and application in your real life situations.

5 – 6 PM- Optional small group connection time (optional finish small group healing time)

6 PM Dinner (on your own, with small groups, or join the Team as we visit one of the area restaurants)

7 – 9 PM (Optional) Informal group discussions or time to reconnect with your family, or optional individual sessions* 

 

Saturday, October 18, 2008 – Healing Modalities for Parents and Children

7 AM Early morning stretch/walk on the beach (optional)

8 AM Breakfast – Dolphin Room

8:30 AM Rebecca Thompson, M.S.- Change your brain, Change your life 

 

9-10 AM Dr. Art Martin- An overview of psychoneuroimmunology and its role in parenting.  Change yourself, change your child.

 

10-11 AM Rose Forbes, Clinical Nutritionist- The Secret Link Between Food and Mood, Food Choices, and Stress Management

 

11 AM – 12 PM Janet Conner- Writing Down Your Soul- Writing as a healing modality; an overview of this unique process to connect more deeply to your own inner guidance system.

 

12:30 – 1 PM MaryJo McHaney, LMHC, LMFT on EMDR- What is it and why might it help you as a parent? Working lunch.

 

Afternoon break-out sessions with Dr. Art Martin, Rose Forbes, as well as additional opportunities for role-play and discussions on parenting topics of your choice.  Other possible choices include, "The Art of Being Present" with Wilma Vance and "Taking Care of Yourself: Are you even on your to-do list?  Why does it matter?"

 

Individual healing packages will run concurrently during the afternoon and evening.

 

7-9PM Informal group discussions or time to reconnect with your family, or optional individual sessions.*  Fun family surprises on Saturday night!
